Boiling a Ham

Cider Boiled Ham:

Prep: 5 min I Cook: 2 hr, 20 min

Ingredients:
6lbs center cut, unsmoked ham
1 bottle apple cider
2 carrots, halved
2 celery sticks, halved
1 onion, halved
bunch of fresh bay leaves

Directions:
To a large stock pot add ham. Pour over the cider. Add water, enough to cover the ham completely. Add carrots, celery, onion and bay leaves. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes per pound, plus an extra 20 minutes.

Remove from the heat, cover and let sit overnight.
