Green Bean Casserole

Serves: Six | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 35 min

Green Bean Casserole:

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp butter
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 tsp soy sauce
4 cups blanced, thawed or canned green beans, drained
1-2 cups fried onions

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400F/200C.

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the mushrooms, onions, and pepper. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are tender.

In a bowl, mix the soup and soy sauce together, then stir in the cooked mushroom and onion mixture along with the green beans until everything is well combined. Transfer to a casserole dish (or keep it in an ovenproof skillet) and bake for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly. Top with fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until golden brown.
