Oven Cooked Rice
Serves: Four | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 25 min
Ingredients:
Oven Cooked Rice:
1 cup long grain white rice
1 3/4 cups hot water
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter, thinly sliced
Directions:
Preheat oven 375°F/190°C.
In an ovenproof dish, stir together the rice, water, and salt. Dot the top evenly with the thinly sliced butter, then cover the dish tightly with foil.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until all of the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender.
Remove the dish from the oven and let the rice rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff gently with a fork before serving.
