Freezing Onions
Freezeing Onions
Peel the onions and trim off the ends. Chop or slice them into your preferred size. Spread the onions in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper, ensuring the pieces are separated as much as possible. Place the tray in the freezer until the onions are completely frozen, about 2–3 hours. Transfer the frozen onions to a freezer-safe bag or container, remove as much air as possible, and seal tightly.
Label with the date and store in the freezer for up to 6 months. Use directly from frozen in cooked dishes whenever needed.
