Serves: Six | Prep: 20 min | Cook: 10 min
Ingredients:
Barbecue Skewered Brussels Sprouts with Parmesan and Lemon:
1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flake
1 lemon, squeezed
2 Tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
Directions:
Soak wooden skewers in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
Meanwhile, toss the trimmed and halved sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, until evenly coated. Thread the sprouts onto the soaked skewers, making sure they all face the same direction to ensure even cooking.
Preheat your barbecue or grill to medium-high heat, then place the skewers on the grill, cover, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until the sprouts are charred and tender. Remove from the heat and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese before serving.
