Chocolate Peanut Butter Chow

Serves: Twelve | Prep: 20 min | Cook: 5 min

Ingredients:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chow:
6 cups Shreddies/Check cereal
8 oz milk chocolate
8 oz dark chocolate
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups powdered/icing sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup pretzels
1 cup chocolate covered candies

Directions:
Place cereal in a large bowl and set aside.

In a separate bowl mix powdered sugar and cocoa powder together and set aside.

Set up a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. Over low heat, add the chocolates and peanut butter, stirring often until fully melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold with a rubber spatula until all the cereal is evenly coated. Sprinkle half of the powdered sugar mixture over the cereal and gently stir to coat, then add the remaining powdered sugar mixture and continue mixing until all the pieces are fully coated. Transfer the coated cereal to a baking tray, spreading it out in an even layer, and let it harden. Once set, add the pretzels and chocolate-covered candies.

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
