Stewed Peaches
Serves: Makes 2 cups | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 6 min
Ingredients:
Stewed Peaches:
4-5 fresh peaches, about 2 cups, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine fresh peaches, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 6–8 minutes, stirring often to help the sugar dissolve and prevent sticking.
Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool. As it cools, the sauce will naturally thicken.
