Strawberry Limeade

Serves: Eight | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 6 min

Ingredients:

Strawberry Limeade:
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, if frozen, defrost
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 cup sugar

Directions:
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves, about 3–5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Meanwhile, add the strawberries and lime juice to a blender and blend until smooth. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove some of the seeds, though this step is optional.

Pour the cooled sugar syrup and strawberry mixture into a large pitcher and add 3–5 cups of cold water, depending on how strong or light you like your limeade. Stir well to combine and serve over ice garnished with sliced lime and fresh strawberries.

**For sparkling lemonade substitute water with sparkling water.
